
Missing man last seen in Algonquin has been located
ALGONQUIN—On April 24, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release regarding 76-year-old Larry M. Mackay, who was reported as a missing endangered person.
He was reportedly driving a blue 2015 Ford F150 with the Illinois registration number 1675287B.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Larry had been driving around for several hours, with sightings of him being reported in the Algonquin area.
Mackay has a history of memory loss and was described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey or tan sweatshirt and blue jeans, stated authorities.
A Silver Alert was pending with the Illinois State Police, however, at approximately 9:15 p.m., law enforcement issued an update stating that a Lake County Sheriff’s deputy located Mackay driving in the area of Route 59 and Miller Road.
Mackay was pulled over by the deputy and is now in safe hands.
